LACD does not just visit Nicaragua. We have built relationships with the communities. We build relationships with the people. We listen to their needs and provide support to help them achieve their goals. We do not give handouts. We give hand ups. We utilize in county workers as much as we can and purchase supplies from the communities.

Bike Clinic Bike clinics are helpful for kids in community. they learn how to fix and maintain their main means of transportation.	Sewing in LaPintada The women in LaPintada formed a sewing group and with the help of LACD they now sew school and sports uniforms for many communities.
Coloina Tiawin Jewelry Men and Women in this town make jewelry from local seeds and nuts to provide income for their families. They are then sent to the United States to be sold.	Movie Night Outdoor movies really bring a community together for Laughter and fun. The community even makes popcorn.
Community Service Kids in the sponsorship program must give back a few hours a month. These men are cutting the grass at the school.	Nicaragua Jewelry Several members of the LACD team carry Nicaragua Jewelry to local festivals and sell it with 100% of proceeds going back to the family that made it.
Volleyball anyone? Clemson took some time out to build a volleyball net for the school.	Sponsorship kids Cleaning the cafeteria helps the community at the school they are attending.
Clemson Engineer It is all about relationships and getting to know the people.	Calishuate Computer Clinic Eli and LACD works with the kids in Calishuate to improve their computer skills.
Sponsorship kids If a child is selected for sponsorship they age given a bike and weekly funds for school supplies.	Emmanuel LACD is working with many families in ElSerrano to help in any way we can.
Clemson EWB Engineers are working in ElSerrano to build a new walking bridge and drill a new well for clean water in the community.	Medical and Dental Calishuate had no clinic till LACD built and donated it to the community. Now Nicaraguan medical and dentical procedures can take place.
Sports LACD and Clemson have provided sporting equipment and rebuilt sports facilities. Nothing brings a community together like football and baseball.
