SERVICES
When LACD arrives in a community we meet with leaders to assess their needs. Building a relationships and trust is a must. Many communities have seen people come and go but LACD is there to stay. We have watched and grown alongside our friends in Nicaragua. We have seen projects fail and flourish so we are all constantly learning from each other. We utilize in country teachers and workers as much as we can so that we support the local community.
Self Sustaining Projects
We teach and encourage self sustaing projects in the communities, Sewing, farming, jewelry making and baking.
Sponsorship
Children do not have the money to go to school after grade 8. We facilitate sponsorship's to pay for school, supplies and transportation.
Special Needs
People with special needs can be found throughout communities. Most have no diagnosis or government support.
Construction
Building bridges, schools, clinics, homes and drilling wells.
